No.No it's not. Creston could not stop Heelan at all. Game was over early.Originally posted by captain_sparrow:

Not to mention, it very easily could have been 28-14 at halftime with Creston/O-M getting the ball back to start the second half. If Creston/O-M doesn't turn the ball over at the end of the half, and instead gets points out of that long drive, all of a sudden it's an entirely different ballgame.
I'm not arguing with you that Creston couldn't stop Heelan. But, if Creston makes it 28-14 before half and gets the ball back, then players aren't pressing as much and play calling changes drastically in the second half. Not saying Creston wins if that happens. Not saying that at all. But it does become a drastically different ballgame than 59-14.Originally posted by HawksRMe:

Creston had to have been doing something right to win 10 games, including beating DC-G, which was ranked in the top 5 (?) before they played. Heelan did play their best overall game of the year, and I'm sure Creston believes they should have played better. Heelan is a young team, and not at the level of their previous 3A state title teams ('08 & '13). But neither are they as vulnerable in the upcoming title game as they were in '07, '10, or '12, when young teams took it on the chin against veteran opponents.Originally posted by captain_sparrow:
