I don't think that these are bad at all, but I think they show that 3A is maybe more of a toss up than it has been in a while, I can't say I agree with Harlan at #4, but I also think it will take about 4 weeks for people to figure 3A out.

How much of this is based on last year? Doubt that very many pollsters know much about '16 teams at this point...

I would venture to say every preseason poll in every sport is based on the previous season, at least to some degree.

That list is D7 heavy, 4 teams in the top 9. That should be a fun and very competitive district this year. I think that Glenwood should be higher and Harlan, not so high. Harlan may have a mighty struggle just to make the playoffs out of that district.

Harlan will struggle. Replacing two key offensive guys is going to kill them. Tarney moved to linebacker and Juhl is gone. Doesn't sound like much is there in terms of QB and they don't have a starter at this point. Having watched the junior class as lower classman they will struggle throwing the ball and that just puts 9 guys up front.

In terms of rankings I would say glenwood should be the only team out of the district that should be in the top 10. Carroll and Creston outside looking in

Not sure it's based off of last year mostly as Creston struggled on defense and probably will again
