It's my opinion that Wilton's resume is just as strong. They have one loss and played tougher non-district teams that Bellevue did.

And, Wilton played Tipton and Durant closer than even West Branch did, beating Tipton by 10 (the same as WB) and Durant by 13 (WB only won by 1 point).

Bellevue's non district schedule is terrible, always has been, always will be, cause they have this thing about playing Camanche and Northeast. It does nothing to prepare them for good teams, and I feel like that is part of the reason for the slow start against West Branch, cause I gurantee Bellevue didnt see any size or speed like that until then.

But, if you are going to go compare Wilton's scores, why are you comparing them against West Branch, and not Bellevue. Bellevue played both Durant and Tipton, and won those two games 84-12.

I used Wilton in reference to the claim about Bellevue being the best #2 seed. But, you make a good point.

I would rank Western as the top #2. They have played the strongest schedule among the #2s. A few of those games without Granstra who is now back. Hard to say.

I would agree with that.

Btw, if you want to see how to do things the right way, look no further than the stats from last Friday's Regina vs. Columbus Junction game.
3 different QB's completed a pass, 13 different kids got to carry the ball, 10 different kids caught a pass and 19 different kids had a tackle. That is how you build depth, reward kids for their hard work and show respect to the other team.

Are you implying that others don't follow that mindset?

I'm not a big proponent of Wilton being really that good. That being said, I posted something to this nature a week or so ago. On paper, Wilton looks solid and may challenge for a title in another district. Not against one of the top tier teams but some of them.
