No Terrell Grant? I do not understand how some players can be All-State when they missed 2 or more games during the season and stats don't compare to some of the other athletes. With Mr. Grant, he led D5 with total yards; over a thousand passing and rushing(just his regular season stats are on Iowa Quik stats, so it doesn't include his statistics he had against Central Elkader). How many other players did that in the 8 man class at the end of the season? Yet, he still doesn't earn Offensive MVP within the district. He also led the district with 103.5 tackles. If a player is hurt, he's hurt and shouldn't be rewarded for what "he could've done". Just from my point of few I don't get it, and yes I have seen multiple players play. I just feel as if Terrell Grant gets little recognition and deserves more.

Grant definitely deserves more recognition than what he's gotten (and hopefully he will get it next year), but it's not like Svoboda missed a ton of games (I'm assuming that's who you're referring to in D5) and he was the difference between Don Bosco having a very solid team and having a possible state championship-caliber team. Besides, his numbers were pretty comparable despite missing a game and a half and seeing his team accept a forfeit in a third game. He was one of the state's top 5 players this year, and he played in more than enough games to be rewarded as such, IMO.

Not only am I referring to Svoboda, but Peppers as well. It's been about two weeks or so and I've cooled down a bit. No disrespect to any players, because it is an honor for each and every player. Was just frustrated with the lack of recognition. And I understand your opinion completely, but I'll even go along the lines of saying Grant is just as good if not better than Svoboda. If we talk passing and rushing. Great year for both kids, and Grant has another year left. Hopefully hear some of the kids' names in college football somewhere! On to basketball season now. Much respect.
