Coaching Positions

Now that the 2017 season has come to an end.. Anyone know of or have any inside scoops on schools looking for new head coaches or assistants?

The Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association website has Clarke, Ames, and Waverly-Shell Rock all looking but I'm not sure how up to date that is/still the current case for them.

In your link, the Ames position is for an assistant coach and the Waverly one is for a freshman coach, both for the past season. The Clarke job is for head coach for next year.

SEP is no longer open. Assistant coach and former Don Bosco head coach Dave Hartman is the new head coach. Randy Wee, who has been a head coach at a lot of places (Johnston, etc.) is now an assistant coach there.

How about now looking ahead to the 2019 summer?

teachiowa.gov & iahsbca.net have quite a few openings listed. Shocked to see majority of the openings are for bigger schools with some good history and tradition.
