Coaching openings

This is just a shot in dark, no rumors have been heard, just taking a guess, but IMO NH could open up, with Frerichs youngest son graduating this year could see him stepping down, and with lead assistant Boyd retiring it would not surprise me. If it does come open I could see it being filled in house by Pemple or possibly Olson coming back and coaching

Anyone else see this possibly happening?

Heard rumors awhile back this would be his last year.

Pemble or Cory Mac will get the job, IMHO.

Haven't heard these rumors, it just makes sense, especially if NH can somehow pull out a state title, which is a long shot, heard rumors around a decade ago that he may be done but he is still coaching, so I guess we will see after the year is over

I've heard rumors that people in New Hampton have wanted him out for a few years now because his style isn't exciting enough, yet he always seems to win at least 7 games every year, I guess some people just can't be satisfied.

Their coach resigned in early October effective at the end of the season, he supposedly hit a player on the sideline during a game.

1A: Clayton Ridge
3A: Ft. Madison, Independence
4A: Council Bluffs TJ, Burlington (rumor that head coach is resigning)

any others?

Where did you see Clayton Ridge and Fort Madison hadn't seen or heard about those?

I'm sure there are people who think that way but my guess it is a vocal minority. He's a great man. Good leader. But yes, more vanilla than Kirk Ferentz.

Todd McGhy from Fort Madison did resign and the coach at Burlington ought to be let go. But you can bet Plain the A.D. at Burlington won't fire him.

Plein resigned as the AD last year. I believe the new AD was previously at Muscatine, but is a Burlington grad. Goodwin or Goodman I think is his name.

As seen on footballcsoop.com

Any others around the state?

Fort Madison (IA): [/B]Head coach Todd Mcghghy has resigned from his position at Fort Madison HS.
