John DeMarco passed away from complications of the Coronavirus on Saturday. He was the current PE teacher at Regina and had served in that position since 1981. 39 years of service to one school is amazing and pretty special.
Coach Demarco also served as the Regina head football coach from 1985 to 1995.
When another head football coach was hired, he didn't leave to look for another opportunity.
He stayed and was one of the teams biggest supporters.
He was a fun, positive, passionate guy and was loved by his students. The outpouring of support among the Regina community shows what an incredible impact he had on the lives of so many young people. He was a special person and will be missed very much.
