Class A District 1
I had some time to kill so I went on Iowa Quick Stats and pulled some data from last year. This is by no means scientific but is intended to stimulate lively banter. I deleted all of the seniors from the data base along with their stats. I was unable to get any info on the incoming freshman unless they made the team last year of course.
Logan Magnolia looks to be the stat leader going into 2014. St. Albert and Westwood Sloan are very evenly matched and settling into the middle of the pack is Audubon, Maple Valley, Griswold. In the statistical basement is Riverside and Tri Center.
Logan Returns 21 with Brady Charbonneau & Riley Wohlers accounting for over a 1,000 yds last year, the Panthers racked up 2,473 yds in total offense.
St. Albert and Westwood Sloan are neck in neck with CBSA 2125 total yds and 22 returning players and WS brings back 2080 yds and will field 19 returning players.
Steady as she goes with Audubon 1298 yds, and Maple Valleys 1420 yds, along with Griswolds 1396 yds. all three returning a good core to build from.
With what could be called a rebuilding for Riverside and Tri Center. The Bulldogs & Trojans return only 13 players each, and those 13 accounted for only 320 and 394 yds respectively. Of course this is High School football anything can happen, here's my "Who to watch list"
Brady Charbonneau .. Logan
Riley Wohlers Logan
Jake Mulford . Audubon
Dylan McClain . Riverside
Nick Schnitker . Tri Center
Brandon Huebner Tri center
Elijah Finn .. St. Albert
Glen Bertlesen .. St. Albert
Travis Miller . St. Albert
Caleb Schaaf Griswold
Marvin Gaines .. Maple Valley
Hunter East Westwood Sloan
Tanner DeVries . Westwood Sloan
Any one I left out?
