Central of Elkader

In my opinion Central is a solid team looking forward to a title this year. what are your thoughts on this?

They are a good team, but I see them finishing THIRD in their district behind Turkey Valley and West Central

Central is very, very solid and my odds on favorite win that district as well. Physical football team that has some good playmakers with Fitzgerald and Erhardt plus more. They play good defense and run the ball very well. They are the team to beat. Follow that with Turkey, West Central and Springville. Much of this will shake out soon with TV and WC tonight. Should be fun.

The talk of West Central having a shot at the playoffs is slight. West Central will get run over tonight by Turkey Valley. They will definitely have their hands full with Kee High as well when they play each other. West Central is no different of a team then they were last year, except the fact that they could actually run the ball last year. James Nieman from West Central was a preseason second team all-stater this year because of his 1000 rush yards last year.

Take knees at goal line, punts on 3rd down, playing kids at different positions. All things I've seen coaches do when playing a team who barely qualifies as a jv team.

Dumbest thing I ever heard. Why are you going to penalize them for working their tails off by kneeling down. Not their fault the other team sucks.

scored 74 by end of 1st and 94 in game, won 94-7. so if you do not believe Central slowed down after 1st quarter you are nuts. Also i bet if you ask the opposing coaches the will also agree that the warriors are very respectful.

I guess I can't speak for everyone, but in my experience, things like what you're suggesting are far more embarrassing than just getting drilled. It's bad enough to know you suck. It's even worse to have the other team pity you to the point that they practically just start giving you the ball in an effort to stop scoring.
