Camp Thoughts?

I wonder if people will have incite on this stuff. Well from what I’ve seen Garrigan is going to have another solid squad. Linebackers this year are going to be HUGE and strong and defense in general will be very good. The team has some nice depth at O and D line. Got a very good transfer student from Algona High. The team overall is very big and athletic. We don’t have a bunch of hefty 300 pounders but we have a lot of kids in the 6’1/6’5 range who weigh a strong 240 pounds plus.
How is st alberts squad looking without the coach? St alberts traditionally has a great team and I’d assume they’ll be at least solid again. Thoughts?

The Saint Albert team carries a lot of tradition with it. From what I heard the new coach has picked off right where the previous coach had left them. I think this could be a interesting yet depending on a variety of factors. I'm excited to see how this new playoff format works. All in All week 1 cannot come soon enough!

Well I can’t give away to many secrets now Class A seems pretty wide open this year. Unless anyone knows of a team who they think are going to be dominant
West Hancock has some amazing backs returning. They’ll be one of the best teams in the state this year and there game vs Garrigan will be fun to watch
Yes will be a very good game to watch. Two ranked class A teams. Two very good defenses. Predicting final score Garrigan wins it 14-12
West Hancock will play Garrigan at home in the middle of the season. I’ll take WH 20-14.
Seriously thinking about coming to Britt for the game on September 21. It’ll be about a 2 hour drive. Would love to watch that matchup.
Ah that old rivalry is always fun to watch. Should be a good match up. Probably the 2 highest ranked teams to play each other this year. They sure stacked that district and It’d be a shame if they all have to play each other in the playoffs. Make bishop go west and Britt go east in my opinion
So with the changes to the playoff format I don’t see the state having neighboring districts play one another like they have with champion/runner up playing each other and then winners from those two games matching up. Will they just go distance for the first round and then possible rematches from the reg season in the quarterfinals and after? How do you think they will do that? Especially with BK, WH, and Garrigan all in the same district.
FYI: was scouting out the Alburnett/Cascade scrimmage last night... and Alburnett went toe/toe with an extremely athletic and talented Cougar team!! Game was about dead-even! Watch out for the Pirates this year... if they tighten a few things up, they could be very dangerous!
Between Alburnett and Lisbon for the district 5 title? Is Alburnett the favorite in that district?
I would think alburnett would be the favorite in that district because it is weak. Guessing it sends only one team
Is Alb still running the single wing because if they are I'M sure Cascade hadn't practiced for that as very few teams run that offense.
EdCo and Clayton Ridge will also have a say in the district not so sure on Lisbon as I am hearing their numbers are way down and they lost a huge senior class.
