These are becoming a bit more clear....like mud.

Again, the top 8-9 are fairly easy and solid to rank in my book. The bottom 2 are _______

1) IC Regina - next week, a game EVERYBODY is waiting for
2) FDSE - TJ has all the O (ffensive rushing) Tool(s). 5TD vs #5 team.
3) SWinn - was Dike that good, or did SW play a poor game?
4) West Branch - defense is not WB's problem. or offense....I guess.
5) Saint Ansgar - another dominant win. Poky may challenge them...until kickoff
6) West Lyon - they are like Bebe's kids: they don't die, they multiply.
7) IKM - nice Non-Dist win v MNW. Still not sure about them. Weak D1
8) North Cedar - the Knights have a top 3 passing game. Their defense...??
9) Dike-NH - wolf is sheep's clothing or sheep in wolf's clothing.
10) Ogden - have enough firepower to stay for this week, at least.

OTHERS: Honestly, only about 6-8 teams are even in the conversation as legit top 10 teams for me.

PLAYOFF Preview coming soon: Playoffs? We're talking about Playoffs?

I do enjoy reading your rankings and the mini recaps. The only thing I'll say is they have a lot more variance than BCMoore. In two weeks you have FDSE leapfrogging West Branch, St. Ansgar and South Winn despite no losses from any. You kind of gave SWinn the same treatment you gave SE a couple weeks ago when SE beat a top 15 SCC by a couple TDs. Now SWinn wins a fairly close game against a top 10 Dike and you penalize them for that.

I do think your rankings are more accurate this week than a couple weeks ago when you had St. Ansgar in the top 3. I agree that Regina is #1 and SWinn, West Branch and SE are somewhere in the 2-4 argument. BCMoore still has Regina behind but I think some of that may be due to playing a soft schedule and pulling starters so early. It will be interesting to see how much their game against Xavier will shake up the computer rankings.

In my opinion St Ansgar is still too high in your poll. I think they are similar to Van Meter a year ago. They have gone undefeated playing arguably the easiest schedule of all top 10 teams. Their toughest opponent in 1A to this point is a 4-3 EBerg that got pounded worse the week before by West Lyon. I like West Lyon and DNH better than an undefeated St. Ansgar. Dike's 2 losses came against the #1 1A and A teams. IKM Manning may be in a fairly easy district but their SOS is still better than St. Ansgar's.

Just for fun my order would go:

#1 Regina
#2 South Winn
#3 SEHS
#4 West Branch
#5 West Lyon
#6 IKM Manning
#7 DNH
#8 Stanwood NC
#9 St. Ansgar
#10 Ogden

I'm inclined to agree with BlameIt's assessment of St. Ansgar. Then again, I am a biased St. Ansgar fan, so I guess I can't give an accurate assessment.

Pretty solid list, though I would still put South Winneshiek ahead of St. Edmond.

St. Ansgar is good...very physical up front with a powerful running game. They do have the ability to throw the ball when necessary as well. Their QB has made some quality throws throughout the year.

One fact that is indisputable (as others have pointed out) is the weak schedule they've played. Obviously, there's nothing the Saints can do about that, but it may end up being the decisive factor when they get matched up with another talented team in the playoffs.
