District season is upon us now.

Regina continues to be #1 until they lose to a 1A football team.

No real changes here.

1) IC Regina - 49-6 is better than 19-0
2) South Winn - will anyone in D4 challenge them?
3) FDSE - defeated a top 10 team...soundly. And down goes the billboard!
4) West Branch - #1 in scoring avg (45.3) and def avg (1.0) in 1A
5) Saint Ansgar - defeated previously unbeated opponent 49-6. Top 5 strong.
6) West Lyon - They are a top 6 team and will continue proving week #1 was a fluke.
7) Ogden - dominating win and have a big game vs....
8) Madrid - ...Ogden this week. Could be a big one for the district title hopes
9) IKM-Manning - the DSM Reg really likes them; still waiting for an high quality win.
10) Emmetsburg - because I can and because they deserve it

JUST OUTSIDE: Hudson, North Cedar, Hinton, Jesup, OA-BCIG

Key week 4 games:

West Branch at North Cedar (WB and NC will have played 4 of 5 games in Stanwood. IHSAA nightmare)
Emmetburg at West Lyon
Jesup at Hudson
Madrid at Ogden

A lot of big games this week. Could start to see some separation with the top teams.

I agree, it looks like Emmetsburg is back to form, and IKM-Manning does have a good team. I just think last year they had to deal with all the players they lost from the year prior and I believe they had a new head coach as well (?).

IKM-Manning had a very small senior class last season. One of their co-head coaches, Floyd Forman, retired. Co-coach Tom Casey remained at the helm, however. Coach Forman is also back assisting this year. The Wolves are solid.
