Forever in history -whether you like it or not- Sleepy Joes additional funding to DOE and Lawrence Livermore resulted in the production of net positive power from a fusion reaction.

No- fusion research didn’t start under Sleepy but Lawrence Livermore did receive a huge research grant from Bidens DOE targeted to build the new system . They established a fusion czar like FDR did with the Groves in the Manhattan project… that is gathering the greatest minds in the fusion energy field with targeted expectations.

That is actually great news, and might mean that we can get away from fossil fuels one day. That said, we need fossil fuels right now. The environmentalists out there don't seem to understand that inconvenient FACT.

90% do… never said it was a primary source. Just supplement. I still think that DOE / AEC declassifies proven compact nuclear reactors before fusion becomes cost effective.

The new Columbia class boomer subs will have 200 MW reactors about the size of a bus with a life if 40 yrs.

The greatest minds in the fusion field have accomplished a lot over the years. They have some more work to do. But most of the research and work will now fall to the engineers and workers who will design the fusion plants. All so I believe they were designing and building the equipment to perform the experiment before Biden was POTUS. Also I wonder if the fuel to make the “heavy water“ was added to the equation. Nothing said about that if I recall reading the report.

“My party” is what was formerly known as the Republican Party before it splintered to MAGAtry by nominating a corrupt bankrupt reality show host and losing its way .

TMI was actually minor in comparison but because of that the feds haven’t permitted a complete new plant since 1979.. The $9B Westinghouse Electric bankruptcy at Vogtel and Summer were worse than Trump managed casinos and Trump Air ,Trump Steak, Trump University combined.
