Best Team You've Seen This Season

Tell us about the most impressive team you've watched this season, the team that stood out with their coaching, hustle, shooting, teamwork, etc.

I've seen several more- highly ranked teams, including the top several in 4A and 3A, but the most impressive team as far as the way they played (without any superstars) is Cedar Rapids Prairie. Coached by Jeremy Rickertsen, assisted by former Iowa Hawkeye star Kenyon Murray and Austin Fischer, this group was poised, efficient and was a class act all-around. No yelling by the coaches. Supportive fans. Maybe they won't make state, but they own victories this season over Iowa City West and Dubuque Senior in 4A and my pick for the 3A title, CR Xavier. Hats off to the Prairie Hawks from Cedar Rapids.

The best I've seen in person during the regular season is either South Hamilton or Grand View Christian. FTR, I've only seen a few mid level 3A and a couple of bad 4A schools. The rest have been 1A/2A.

I would say North Linn by far. ( in 1a) Extremely athletic and very good. And very young. I think they run the table. We will see. It will take a very good team to beat them.

For me it would be New London. I saw them early in the year and then again after Dentlinger was injured. Their losses occurred during his absence. His first game back last week he scored 30. At 6' 8", he is the difference maker for this team. They will be very tough to beat.
