CONGRATS to your beasts.Sorry we 'Prarie Valley AKA Southeast Valley' will not be able to play your beasts this year.
Congratulations to the Eagles! Looking forward to the West Hancock vs. Clarion-Goldfield-Dows game in a couple weeks. Nothing like rekindling an old back yard rivalry! Hope it's a good game! When was the last time these two teams played? I know it's been awhile.
I believe the last meeting on the varsity level between these 2 schools took place in 1999. C-G has been on the JV schedule for quite some time since then. It should be a good game. The Cowboys have put up big offensive numbers the first couple games (115 points) and given up only 15 points while forcing 8 turnovers.
The Eagle faithful has been pretty quiet on these boards this past year having to endure the longest losing streak in Britt/West Hancock history. Fear not. If you have not had a chance to see the team this year, they are much improved from a season ago. Leadership makes a big difference. They are starting to play with some confidence.

If you have not had a chance to see the team this year, they are much improved from a season ago. Leadership makes a big difference. They are starting to play with some confidence.

This Friday starts district play and there are some good matchups right out of the gate.
The Eagles get to host North Union (who is in our conference in all other sports now along with Garrigan and Eagle Grove)
Bishop Garrigan plays host to Nashua Plainfield for what should be the game of the week in the district
Garrigan played St. Eds very tough in their opener and beat Pocahontas last week
N-P is 7th in Class A right now for total offense and is 2-0 heading into this game
North Butler and Newman square off in Greene
North Butler got into the win column last week beating Central Springs
New went to St. Eds and left with a 75-0 game they would soon like to forget
B-K is hosting Eagle Grove where the high powered offense (3rd in Class A rushing) should run roughshod over Eagle Grove

WH offense has run plays in the pistol formation and thrown at TD pass each of the first 3 games
The Eagles have a left- footed soccer style kicker with a big leg
The Fullback seems to get the ball quite a bit
Any advantage we can muster to rope the Cowboys must be explored. Come on out and cheer the boys on.

Regarding showing up for this game, I am supposed to be in Cleveland with LeBron, Johnny Football, etc, this weekend. I will see if I can reschedule.
