Surprised they are sitting that low with a 9-2 record. Although it looks like they were soundly beaten by Panorama. They must be playing at their best right now.

Central Decatur lost to Panorama by 30. Only beat two teams with a winning record (Van Meter twice and Pella Christian).

Central Decatur was dealing with a couple of pretty big injuries at the time of the Panorama game. They got a major impact player back for the final 3 games of the regular season and have been playing at the level they're capable of since then.

I think Central Decatur is actually the best team from D8, at least when at full strength, as they're showing.

Since the loss to Panorama, they've scored at least 32 points in every game, though they've also given up some points too.

Panorama also lost to Van Meter by 2 and was beaten soundly in their first two games against healthy Ogden and Manson-NW squads.

With all that said, it'll all be moot anyways because Regina's starters won't allow Central Decatur to score on them, while putting up 40+ points in the 1st half alone. This way they can give the 3rd string defensive tackle a chance to run the ball a few times.

I'm sure Manson NW Webster appreciated being ranked #12 even though they were 4-5 and failed to make the playoffs.

I'll have to drive by the billboard in Fort Dodge and see if they have added "Ranked #12 in Football 2014".

At the end of the season having played the toughest schedule is meaningless if you haven't won many games.

Clearly you are not a fan of the rankings.

At the end of the season having played the toughest schedule is a prime contributor to the fact that they haven't won many games.

If Hinton played Manson Northwest Webster's schedule, they may have been 4-5 too.
