I don't know about Heelan, but I think CR Xavier wins out from here on to the title game. Sure, they got creamed by WDM Dowling, but Dowling this year and last is totally awesome by Iowa standards. Xavier has the coaching and the numbers. If their young QB Schulte stays healthy and progresses, I don't see anybody taking them down in 3A unless they have a heckuva bad night.
I think the answer to this is different than it would have been two weeks ago. I do not think any 3A team has a 95% chance or better and although it was week 1, I think that the teams that I would have picked two weeks ago fell below 95%. I am not sure Xavier is that far ahead of other teams in the East to say they have a 95% chance. I guess the same holds true for Heelan, but I think Heelan is closer to 95% than Xavier (only because of more balance in the East).
I'm really not sold on Xavier. Yes, Dowling is good, but they're not as good as last year. Xavier had a ton of question marks going into this season, and I'm not sure that Solon can't knock them off. They were pretty impressive against Regina, who could compete very well against damn near any team in the state outside of Dowling and Waukee. Losing Black was thought to be a big blow, but I think Childs will be a very pleasant surprise for Solon fans this year.

4A - Dowling - Stronger than last year. Horses!! Ryan Boyle will break all the records this year.
3A - Xavier - Defense incredible as usual. Re: Solon at Xavier home = Smash mouth. X will dominate. Continuous clock.
2A - Clear Lake - Again, a program and discipline. What a coaching staff. Pound on the ground.
1A - Regina - Cook combination with pave the way to another Championship
A - St Albert - Very athletic
8 Man - Any given Friday
