Damn, I’m jealous my adopted hometown. When you’re three sheets to the wind, don’t let anyone talk you into a trip to TJ… you’ll regret it. 😏

Gaslamp was nice last time I was there. Hopefully it’s not a typical California cesspool today.

Damn, I’m jealous my adopted hometown. When you’re three sheets to the wind, don’t let anyone talk you into a trip to TJ… you’ll regret it. 😏

I went to Tijuana once. Just avoid the donkey shows and it ain’t so bad. But this was probably 25 yrs ago.

Yeah, I was there about 35 years ago, besides the brothel bars, sidewalk food vendors at 2AM (not knowing what the hell I was eating), the return trip back to SD was always a nail biter……although waiting in line you could always buy the coolest trinkets (at least it seemed so until I sobered up 🥴)

Been a few years, but stayed at Kimpton in Gaslamp district last time out there. Loved the area. There was a decent amount of homes less people around, but they didn’t bother people walking the streets. I prefer La Jolla and Del Mar areas, but can get pretty pricey out that way.

Not sure if it’s still the case but I always enjoyed the guys standing out in front of the TJ body shops waving around ball-peen hammers….boy that instills confidence in your craftsmanship.

Ah La Jolla..if I had F-you money, that’s where I’d be. Spent many a day body surfing and nights…..well enjoying the cove 🙂
