I could see the Bulldogs advancing 5 to 6 wrestlers to the state tournament ...Adams, Shaw, Teague, and Mather look like the best bets. Kuecker, Frideras and Johnson possibly. Go Hawks!!!

I would think Birnbaum-FDSH may be in the mix at 106, the younger Egli-FDSH(not sure on his weight), and frosh Sam Cook-FDSH @ 170. Also, according to the iahsaa.org site, Ankeny is not in this district.

Geography gives Algona a favorable 3A district assignment: FD, MC and six of the smallest schools in the class. It's kind of wierd that Algona & Webster City are 3A and Spencer is 2A.

Hard to believe if you drove through Spencer and Algona (unless Algona has really gotten bigger over the years). I do believe Ames is the team to beat in the Districts. Go Hawks!!!

Algona probably but none have for many years and Algona would have to agree to share with them for wrestling or just transfer to Algona

Sam Cook will be at 182, and Prescott will be going at 195 again for Fort Dodge. Duke Egli will be slotted in at 170.
