I think it is pretty wide open. Western is better than they played today and would still be my favorite. Their wins over MOC and Spirit Lake confirm that. I was really impressed with Anamosa, Cascade absolutely dominated, and Pella Christian is a very good battle tested team. Honestly, I could see any of these teams winning it. Should make for a lot of great games the rest of the week.

I agree. Completely wide open, especially if Western continues to shoot like they did yesterday. I have been most impressed with Cascade. If I had to pick two, it would be Western or Cascade.

What I like about Western's chances:
-Kids are on a mission after last year & with Eekhoff's retirement announcement
-Miedema is overdue for a lights out shooting performance behind the arc

Agree. 2A is better than advertised. Sometimes this ' winning it for the retiring coach' works against you. Miedema is an enigma looks the part and is really quick but his play is sometime blah. #5 3's and # 40 offensive board work saved the day for WC vs Carroll Catholic.
