I was scrolling along looking at basketball records and I stumbled upon this website by mistake. It has every conference, current and defunct, every school that ever had a team in each county. It then shows how and when these schools consolidated or were absorbed into other districts, along with their school mascot. This is especially interesting because here in Iowa we have so many of these little towns of 200 or less people and they aren't mentioned in any high school names, so it's pretty cool to see the identities these small town used to have. I just thought somebody takes the time and effort to keep this information up to date, and that it deserved to be shared. Enjoy

If you are into Iowa history and small town schools and defunct conferences, one could spend hours looking thru the data.
