Not surprised by the results. I went to the LeMars-CBSA game. Figured it would be the best game of the night.
31-10 Final but the game was a little closer than the score indicated. Gehlen was driving with all the momentum, 17-10 in the 4th Quarter. QB throws the bubble and it's a pick 6. Unbelievable. Gehlen couldn't recover and ends up 31-10.
Gehlen's D did a really nice job I thought. CBSA was sloppy on O, and not overly impressive. Give some credit to Gehlen D though.
CBSA defense was more impressive than their O. Forced turnovers and stopped the run game, made Gehlen one dimensional.
Overall, CBSA is and was the better team. But it was a better game than what 31-10 says.
CBSA-West Sioux will be an outstanding game. Winner will be the State Champ (in my opinion). I give the edge to West Sioux.
Hudson and Saint Ansgar - This game goes either way (it won't matter in the end) but I give the edge to Hudson.
It's too bad that St. Albert's and West Sioux couldn't have met in the championship.
