In district 4, Maquoketa went down to 2A Cascade, according to radio report.
4A Western Dubuque rolled over Dub. Wahlert 24-3, as the Eagles were taken apart, offensively and defensively, by the Bobcats who made it look easy as WD's stellar quarterback Dylan Gotto seemingly found his receivers wide open on nearly every play. .

Pella's defense controlled the game. Osky had a very difficult time moving the ball. Their scores essentially came on kickoff returns, which Pella really needs to work on. Pella's offense is a work in progress. Had several turnovers, sputtered in the first half. Had a tough time finishing drives at times. Lots of first game mistakes. Osky threw the ball a ton. They spread you out. Osky QB is an athlete with good size and a good arm. They seem much improved this year.

Pella has found a good RB in VanZee. He is very fast and will only get better as he is new to the position. QB Finney ran for about 120 yards but he won't run the ball nearly as much as Clayberg did last year as they need to be more protective of him. WR 6'5" Holterhaus had a big game, he is tough to cover.

Pella -DCG will be a great game next week.

Fmclonefan,

Did Pella's starters play the full game? The video I saw ran out after the second drive of the third quarter.

Also does anyone know what the Norwalk score was at halftime? I am wondering if the halftime score might be a better indicator than the final score for games that appear to be blowouts and that the reserves played most of the second half.

Pella's starters played roughly midway through the 4th quarter, so yes they played the vast majority of the game.
