#15 Akron-Westfield @ #6 West Sioux, Hawarden

Akron-Westfield is hot and got a big win at the beginning of the week. However I think Hummel and West Sioux’s passing game gives them a big advantage. West Sioux already got a big win against Akron-Westfield earlier in the season.

#4 Denver @ #2 Bishop Garrigan, Algona

This to me is the game of the night in Class A. Denver is rolling and are on a mission to get to the dome. Garrigan runs the ball as well anyone. However I think Denver’s defense is a little better and puts Garrigan into some tough positions late. This one will be close and will come down to some late game possessions.

#10 Gladbrook-Reinbeck @ #1 B-G-M, Brooklyn

Gladbrook-Reinbeck after two losses to two very good teams, has been on a roll. They have a very good run game and want to make the short trip to the dome. BGM has been playing very good all year. BGM boasts one of the best defenses in Class A and an efficient offense. However I think G-R has a more complete team and that will give them the advantage in a very close game late.

Lynnville-Sully @ #8 Mount Ayr

Lynnville-Sully has gotten two very nice wins but Mt. Ayr has the defense and the complete offense to really push Lynnville-Sully. I think those two things are too much of an advantage in this one.

I've got:
West Sioux beating Akron-Westfield 41 - 20
Denver beating Bishop Garrigan 28 - 20
GR beating BGM 28 - 13
Mount Ayr beating Lynnville-Sully 35 - 20

I want to see a Dome match-up of West Sioux and Denver for the 1 PM game and GR and Mount Ayr for the 10 AM game.

Why wouldn't you redo your rankings after you actually see some cross district games between quality opponents?

I don't care which way they split it but they MUST NOT make GR and Denver play AGAIN in the Semi-Finals. They need to make that the Finals if it happens!!!!

Perhaps looking ahead a little bit?
I personally don't want to see a rematch for a championship game, I like the excitement of not knowing who has the upper hand. Just an opinion, I understand some people want to see the "best two teams".

I just mean if they both win let them meet in the finals. Let the undefeated team play the two loss team and the 1 loss teams meet. Denver and GR have already played 3 times in the last 2 years. This would be #4

Every team has to earn it.

The only problem with your proposal is that mount Ayr has 2 losses and Lynnville 3, so assuming west Sioux wins they could still pair them with the team with the worst record and have Denver and Gladbrook play (assuming both win) (I'm starting to lean towards BGM if they're healthy).

I just think the state usually does east vs west but I could be mistaken.
