With regard to Pella's easy road, not sure any road is easy, ask Harlan. Also last year Pella had to beat Chariton and Norwalk to get to state.

On Xavier, I saw Burger was out last night (street clothes)

Perry's district was weak, but not sure I would count playing Glenwood to get in as "easy"

First off, I would just like to predict that StatewidePundit is that CBCrusader guy, lol.

Secondly, here are my picks:
S1: MOC by 15
S2: Spirit Lake by 5
S3: Wahlert by 8
S4: Mount Vernon by 10
S5: Xavier by 5 (If Burger isn't playing, this one switches for me)
S6: Chariton by 2
S7: Pella by 15
S8: Perry by 3 (They have some extra help now with new fans because of this dumb D.Trump story)

That should make the state tournament....(Note: SL and MOC have same record but I think Spirit Lake played the most big schools)

1. Chariton vs. 8 Perry
4. MOC vs. 5. Wahlert
3. Spirit Lake vs. 6. Mount Vernon
2. Pella vs. 7. Xavier

So it looks like you think at least 4 of the 8 districts are easy or weak...yeah, that makes sense. Who knew 3A basketball was so bad this year, no wonder a 19-5 teams isn't even considered good.

Also Neverread, if Perry wins it will be because they are playing excellent basketball right now not because of any new fans. And the story wasn't dumb but very valid as it told of the racism Perry fans have had to face multiple times this season. But that is a whole different conversation we don't really need to get into.

I will take;

1 - MOC-FV
2 - Spirit Lake
3 - Wahlert
4 - Mt. Vernon
5 - Xavier
6 - Chariton
7 - Pella
8 - Perry

I also thought it was humorous that somehow he thinks all these teams got an easy road and they are all "bad." My guess is he's bitter his team is out.

If Perry makes it, the extra students will definitely help them. You have all these fans showing up to support them, of course it makes a huge difference. And it is a dumb story. It was dumb kids doing a dumb thing and then even dumber adults blowing it into a huge story because of their dumb political beliefs, one way or another.

The story was about more than just what happened with DCG. They were one of many schools to lob racially motivated chants Perry's way. Perry kids just finally had enough of it and stood up for themselves. It was a valid and important news story to shed light on what they have been going through all season. Apparently you think calling out racism is dumb, I will just leave you with your antiquated beliefs. It is always pointless trying to argue with you.

Xavier- Mt. Pleasant may be an interesting game, but I predict that Xavier's height and experience will be too much for MP, which has 9 sophomores and two freshmen on the roster. Could there possibly be a younger team? Even so, they have the better record, so who knows?.

Really think it is sad WSR and Wahlert don't make it to state. This is why I think they need to seed the final 16 teams in each class and play at 8 neutral sites for a trip to state. The bogus excuse of saving and making money for the state a broken record. I highly doubt Solon and Assumption sent thousands of people to Clinton for a district final and that definitely didn't save either school any money on travel.

Seeding the final 16 teams helps eliminate teams from weak areas of the state as well. Then we may not have 15-20 point games at state as much.
