Man, MOC just looks outmanned by a player or two. The Dutchmen look like they're working their butts off for every bucket and Wahlert makes their baskets look easy.

Haha. I posted that in the first half (intentionally understating it then, even). By the end of the game, even that intentional understatement was blown out of the water.

Wow! That had to be the best game in the tournament so far. Wahlert hangs on to beat an incredible performance by Levis Jansen and Christian Korver to advance. What, both teams shot way over 60% in the game? Wahlert lost one of their main players to an ankle injury just before the half. Congrats to both teams.

Incredibly entertaining game! MOC played their buts off out there and gave Wahlert more of a game than I expected. Jansen was just tremendous, best performance of the tourney. They just couldn't get over the hump though. Wahlert seemed to always have an answer.

Wedewer made a ton of big plays and freethrows in second half. He was the one that held of MOC and the hard charging Jansen. This was a tough loss for MOC, similar to overtime loss to hands of Spirit Lake last year. Great MOC team with tons of grit. Wahlert played like champs and did what they had to do to win. Just more weapons, similar to last two years.

You know, nobody in the entire MVC, and that includes IC West, Cedar Falls, Linn-Mar, etc., put on a performance like Jansen did in any MVC game I saw against Wahlert. That kid is a gamer and everyone in Maurice, Orange City, Floyd Valley and area should be very proud of him, and Korver, too.

I'm not saying you're wrong because Jansen was very good today but Jordan Bohanon did go for 35 in their game against Wahlert this year.

That was the 90- 87 game in Marion when Bohannon had 35 and Pemsl had 34. Today, Jansen was even more unconscious. Jansen averaged way under what JoBo did for the season, and I think JoBo will be a great college player, but in this ONE game (first time I've seen Jansen), Jansen was a monster.

Tremendous game. Jansen was superb 42 pts and many rebounds too. Korver hit some huge 3's after Pemsl stopped guarding him. Wedewer was big for Wahlert back to back 3's at end of 1st half gave Eagles big spark. Injury to 6'8 Myer who had 9 quick pts really hurt Wahlerts D game plan. The length of Wahlert hurt MOC's other players not named Jansen early.
Just a crime this was a 1st round game. Especially after watching Solon, Chairton, and now Spirit Lake. Those teams look like JV teams compared to Wahlert and MOC.
