For combined Rushing/Passing, Gilbert's QB Jared Gescheidler had a combined 2,476 as he had over 1000 yards in both rushing and passing. Gibert was 2A last year, but they are now 3A this year.

Something wrong in Harlan? How does a guy only get 31 solo an 131 assists? Sounds like somebody is padding stats in Harlan

Tackle stats for many teams are so exaggerated. Some schools end up with more tackles allocated than plays, which makes the stat near useless.

Yeah that one in particular stood out. kid plays backer, has 10 for loss so that stats indicate he had 21 solos? 131 assists? Sounds like Harlan gang tackles and everyone at the end of the play that's on the pile gets credit....

What might be even worse is a team that sometimes allocates more SOLO tackles than plays, and then adds on phantom assists to boot. One such school has two players on the above stat list. Check quikstats. Bottom line? Worthless stat.

103 assists, 31 solo = 134 tackles

10 combined tackles for loss (also includes solo + assisted)

But I agree that teams just include players if they're "in" on the play.
