3A Quarterfinal Predictions

Carroll at Sioux City Heelan
A 37-10 win for SCH in the regular season. Look for more of the same in a home game for the Crusaders. Closer, probably, but look for Heelan to avoid mistakes.

Creston at Dallas Center-Grimes
A 35-14 win for DCG in the regular season. Look for more of the same in a home game for the Mustangs. DCG has been playing well as of late.

Washington at Pella
A 35-0 win for Pella to open the season. Look for improvement from the Demons, but not enough to win against the Dutch.

West Delaware at Cedar Rapids Xavier
CRX has trouble with multi-skilled QBs and has given up a lot of passing yards as of late. However, CRX has stopped the run cold in the playoffs and scored above 30. CRX might have some injuries, but plenty of depth is available. West Delaware has to stop the run and match special teams to win. I look for Xavier to win at home.

Feel the same... Hardest game to call is WD and Xavier.

I agree with the above predictions as well...especially about WD and Xavier being the biggest toss up. Both teams want to run the ball and I think it comes down to whoever is healthy. WD's backfield was banged up/sick at the end of the regular season...don't know if they are at full strength yet or not. Xavier's backfield got banged up in their win over WSR...starting FB and RB both knocked out after first half and not sure if they will be good to go on a short week. Difference may come down to defense, and I think that edge goes to CRX.
