Somewhere in the past few months I recall someone posting about how D8 was the weak B***C / weak district of the state in 3A. Yeah, this is true....but what does that make the rest of the districts top guns that are now practicing basketball and wrestling? Oh and you can pretty much throw Carroll into that mix as they used to compete with this group.

Having said that.....DCG and Creston are both young again as are a lot of D8......

See you all same time here next year.....

Solon is very young too - started 4 sophs and a bunch of Jrs. Wonder who is going to step into Kramer's shoes...

If it was only 1 person calling D8 weak I wouldn't put too much credibility into it.

Creston is young and has some talent coming back. Their Freshmen team could give their JV squad a run for their money. Good sized kids coming up through the ranks.

DCG is fairly young and will have all their skill positions coming back next season. Offensive and Defensive line will be where they will even be younger. There are some talented sophomores to be that will be able to step in and play next season to go along with the very deep senior class and some good juniors as well.

Harlan may be back to Harlan form the next couple of years... There were only four seniors that played regularly, the rest being juniors and sophomores. The freshman offensive line averages 250 pounds. They will still need to find the weight room, and get a little tougher, but the future looks bright.. hopefully anyways.

Oh I wouldn't go that far. They were young but they are going to have to rely heavy on running the ball. Freshman success does not translate to varsity and the few big freshman on the line are going to have hard time adapting to the speed at the varsity level. Going to be a few more kids than usual going both ways.

As for finding the weight room I don't think 75% of the kids in Harlan know where it's located!
