Kuemper looked the best in round 1, but did their opponent just make them look better?
PC and Western were sluggish and played red-hot teams.
Camanche won ugly, but I like that offense that runs through the high post.

Should be two good games. Both games have teams that match up well with each other. Just based on what we saw first round I would pick Western and Kuemper to move on. I don't think we have seen Pella Christian's best basketball though.

I think Kuemper is vulnerable to a tight zone if they are cold behind the arc. PC will have a better post defense and has the quickness to guard the perimeter.
Play Veenstra behind Dentlinger & let Kacmarynski pinch him high. Keep him off the glass. Jungling needs to keep shooting.

Really hope Camanche tries to push the tempo. Gesink in the open court is a thing of beauty. Guessing Camanche will gamble and bomb from the outside. Being red-hot from behind the arc is their only hope. Will get ugly if they're cold. Western has to corral those loose balls. They were butter fingers in game 1.

I'm just confused about the Camanche/WC game. Camanche has real length and that can create some problems for teams, especially at the rim. I don't believe they will need to be "red hot" from behind the arc to win, if they utilize the high post and allow the Soeknsen brothers to iso people on the offensive end, they can hang with WC. My head still tells me WC wins. Give me WC by 7 or 8 when they make some free throws at the end of the game.

LOL. First of all that can't be directed at me. I've rooted against western at least twice during tournaments. (Yes I'm cheering for them now in Des Moines). For the record, the same could be said to you regarding Your agape love for PC. ;-)

My love for PC? The only thing I've said in regards to PC and WC together is that PC played a tougher schedule. That isn't an opinion, they just did. I would actually like to see Camanche win it all, don't think they will though.
