What are people's thoughts about the upcoming season. Looking at the iahsaa site, Gilbert will be the second largest 2A school. It will be fun to watch them and Monti battle it out for a title. Those 2 have to be the preseason favorite. D-NH, Hudson, and Woodward Academy will be bumping up was well.

I see the girls site (ighsau) now has the tentative classifications up as well.... and they are easier to follow because they are numerical, as opposed to alphabetical. They seem to be more recently updated as well with a couple co-ops that were not on the original put out by iahsaa.

Do you think Gilbert can give monti a run for their money? Monticello was just CRAZY deep last year. Even losing a couple kids, they had JV kids who would have been close to individual qualifiers in several districts. Gotta think they had a lot of kids put in good summer mileage hoping to make varsity this fall.

You see Monti, I don't, so I will take your word coach. I do see Gilbert being the only one that could give them a battle, let's put it that way. Monti has the edge after both teams' #2, but NOT being 3A-which I think the Gilbert camp figured they would be-may give them that little extra gleam to work a little harder.
