Let's have a main thread for discussion of the 2020 season. Might make it easier to follow along.
Any big games scheduled for this coming Friday night?

Regina's Alec Wick had a big game against PV in his return to the field Friday night after an injury last season.

From my perspective, this season looks like it's going to come down to Regina vs St. Albert. Both will have stout defenses that will be tough to get by in Class A

St. Ansgar is hosting class 2A Garner Hayfield-Ventura this week. GHV took down West Hancock 14-6 in week 1.

Looks like top ranked Grundy Center will play Class 1A #4 Dike New Hartford this Friday.
That should be a good game.

Again?
Just quarantine the sick kids and let everyone else get on with life.

Regina surges to a second half 21-6 lead. Clear Lake responds with two late scores.
Clear Lake decides to go for the 2pt conversion for the win with 58 seconds left.
Regals stuff the run, and take the 21-20 victory, on the road over Class 2A #3 Clear Lake.
Really great game!

So at least two of the final four in the dome are Grundy Center and Regina. Who are the other two?

The biggest hurdle in getting to the dome this year will be to not have to sit out a playoff game because of a covid exposure. A team could theoretically reach the semis without playing a post season game if their opponents all are forced to sit during the playoffs due to covid. Speaking of which, have they addressed what happens if both teams from a playoff game are forced to forfeit the same game because of covid? Does the team that would have played the winner of these two teams simply receive a bye the following round or are they scheduling the playoffs week bye week instead of setting the bracket before the post season starts in order to avoid this unlikely scenario?
The iahsaa website states if a team has to sit games because of the covid those games simply wont be counted but clearly this cant be the case in the post season
