Use this thread to highlight outstanding performances during the 2019 season...

I don't think there is probably a better kicker in 1A than Regina's Michael Dunn.
40 kick offs this season with 25 touch backs. Amazing.
5-5 on Field Goal attempts with a long of 38 yards.
And, 26-28 on PAT's. Some really impressive numbers.

Regina's Alec Wick has 50 receptions for 742 yards and 11 touchdowns through the first six games, including a standout performance on the road at likely District Champ Pella Christian when he caught 7 passes for 227 yards and 3 TD's.

West Branch seemed to have a good night a couple weeks ago when I was there vs. Bellevue.

300 yard passer
200 yard WR with 3 TD
Tanner Lukavsky scored 4 TD in 4 different ways (pass, rush, receive, Pick 6)

I would call out North Linn's Austin Miller. The man was a one-man wrecking crew. Hard to tackle, good open field speed and he just kept going. He's one of those guys who can execute. You know what he's going to do and he does it anyway.

He was very good. Went for 277 yards on the ground and 4 rushing TD's. Added 52 passing yards as well. Most of the yards were on a couple of long runs when I think the defense had let up a bit. But, I was impressed with the fighting spirit of the entire North Linn team.

South Central Calhoun's Zane Neubaum has has 26 touch backs on 45 KO. He is averaging 55.7 yards per kick. Also 28-30 on PAT, and 4-6 field goals with 34 yards being his longest. Just as impressive numbers I believe for a 1A kicker as any one out there. Not only that, he averages 42 yards per punt as well.

I still think Regina’s Michael Dunn is putting up the best kicking numbers in 1A.
47 kickoffs, 29 touchbacks.
30 of 33 on PAT’s.
6 of 6 of FG’s, with a long of 38 yards.

WB has a pretty good kicker, but in 32 kickoffs, he’s yet to record a single touchback.

There are many fine kickers in 1A. That's fantastic.

Guessing you regina guys have a kicking coach that contributes to this but you've had like five all state kickers in the last ten year. Actually saw some footage and Dunn looks very very solid. Had increased his leg strength a ton from last year. Would definitely pick him first above other 1A kickers. Saw two of his misses on film.... one was just a terrible snap/ timing and he basically kicked the ball as it was being placed. The other was a block.

not really sure who might be working with him. I see him on the field a lot by himself, putting in the time. He's a back in soccer, so he's used that to develop leg strength. He's just a really even-deaded solid athlete. I think that's a lot of it. Only his second year in FB btw....

That's because their kickers work separate from the rest of the team for practice.

Yeah, I know that. The point was just that I see him putting a lot of time in by himself, not so much with a coach, So, I'm not sure what coaching he's getting, just seeing him put in the time.
