A lot of riled up players, coaches, and fans. Strike zone seemed to change drastically with every pitch. Iowa Valley shot themselves in the foot in the 1st inning dropping a ball at 1st base that could have gave IV 2 outs and would have gave Iowa Valley a great chance to get out of the 1st only allowed 1 run. Instead, BGM got all 3 of their runs that inning.


Another intense point in the game came when Gormley, who was on the mound for Iowa Valley, hit 2 straight players including opposing pitcher Zac Freese in the head. The batters looked to be crowding the plate and I do think Gormley went after Freese on purpose, although I do not think he meant to hit him in the head.


Tension was high in a highly competitive contest. Fun game to watch. Congrats to the Tigers on a fine season and good luck to the Bears in their next match-up.
