WB beating Pella Christian in Pella?

That's a lot to ask a very young, inexperienced ball club. Thanks for the votes of confidence, fellas.
I will predict the following: if WB does defeat Pleasantville and Pella Christian, they are not going to lose to Regina (or Bellevue) in the semifinals.

I agree with you on this one, speaking objectively. WB can prove everything they need to prove if they knock off both Pleasantville and Pella Christian. Watch out.

I'm not sure Regina makes it out of the first round. Louisa Muscatine put up 35 points on them. This could be West Branch's year.

I'm not sure if you're serious about the 35 points. I think it was 41-8 at the half and they rested most of the starters while playing a lot of underclassmen in a majority of the game.
The starting RB had 2 carries in the game.

The Regina starting RB has not had many carries all season. They've been conserving his energy.

Regina knows that if they lose Vollstedt, they're screwed. Much like if WB lost Cornwell or PC lost Hayden Vroom and so on and so forth. Isaac is the bell cow for the Regals, and a very nice kid.

Regina's defense is going to be tested more than it has through the district season, yes.
But if the Regals don't win by 24+ I would be shocked.

Wind may play a major factor in all games tonight, would think it will affect Bellevue the most with their passing attack.

Yes, I was serious. Almost had it right. I do think Regina easily handles Wilton this week. However, I expect a closer game than the first one.

Almost right on the Regina part, pretty far off on the other part. Has Wilton improved or has Regina regressed to make it closer?

No, I don't think Regina has regressed. I think Wilton may come with a little more fight this time. I still don't think they're nearly in the same class as Regina. However, when Regina punched them in the mouth the first time, they seemed to whimper through the rest of the game. I think they will at least try to punch back a little more this time. They will be no match for Regina though.

Regina could have named their score in that game if they wanted to. It was over by half and the points were scored on the JV team. Not much to take away from the final score.

I also think this Friday's game between Regina and Wilton will be much closer. Not just because it would be hard not to finish closer than the previous score, but for other reasons as well.

Other reasons = Vollstedt dinged??/QB changes??

I didn't know Vollstedt was hurt. Is Marv Cook pulling a Hayden Fry?

I was told he had/has a sprained ankle. That's the type of thing that can heal up quickly if you let it, but can linger and reinjure if you return prematurely. Which is why if I were Regina I'd sit Vollstedt this week, but let him dress for the game in case they absolutely need him. But I would anticipate Regina not needing him against Wilton.
