Friday's upset of Western over West Sioux threw my opinion of 1A's post-season out the window.
Going into the season I had West Sioux penciled in as champ with WL, VM, & Dike in tier 2, & Western and the rest in tier 3.
D1 could easily end with a 3-way tie of 8-1 teams or Western/WL can win outright.

WL, and especially Western, will get hurt in RPI by scheduling traditionally good 2A schools who have bad records this year. Not going to do the math, but guessing WS has the better RPI if they can beat WL next week.
Hoping all 3 of these deserving teams make the playoffs. They will be battle-hardened.

Big Questions: Can West Sioux rebound & beat WL at home? Will West Lyon learn from the Western tape how to disrupt QB Dekkers?

You have to have plenty of athletes to disrupt and try to stop West Sioux, and West Lyon has plenty of athletes and experience. It’s going to be another tough game for West Sioux.

All three should make the playoffs. It’s not a guarantee by any means bc of the RPI, but they are three of the top teams in the state. I’m guessing if all three make it, two of them would face off in the first round with the other getting sent south. Whoever has to host that third team in the first round better be ready.

WL, WSX, and WC will all prop each other up in the RPI. If they all finish 7-2 or better, it will be difficult for them to get shuffled down.
