    Went to a JV game tonight - Harlan Community vs. SBL.

    I've seen situations where a program was only dressing 16-17 kids for a JV game, so having a senior or two play JV just to give them some depth wasn't a bad idea. Otherwise, seniors playing JV is just taking reps away from an underclassmen who will still be in your program for 1-2 more years.

    If you've watched the NCAA or NIT tournament at all, you know a shot clock isn't a guarantee that games are going to be high scoring.

    Most colleges will look at the game film only and probably not even look up a kids stats. Stats are almost, if not totally, meaningless in the recruiting game.

    I do know Ottumwa has tried to get in the Southeast conference before. I don't know it ever came to a vote or not or was maybe even shutdown before it got that far.

    You used to be able to find this on Varsity Bound, but this late in the season, I'm not sure there will be many teams looking.

    Keokuk and I believe Fort Madison as well won't start winter sports practices until at least December 1st

    Non-district games

    Keokuk will travel to Knoxville Week 2 as originally scheduled but still looking for a Week 1. Chiefs originally scheduled to host North Scott but neither side was very interested in playing that.
