    Struggle in the pass is based on what? Them only throwing it 8 times in the semis? When you rush for 423 yards you don’t need to pass. They have thrown it plenty this year for over 800 yards and 13 touchdowns. I think they will be fine.

    If the closely guarded rule was enforced it might help. The rule says 6 ft. However I'm not sure I've ever seen an official call it at that distance. Usually they stand there with their arms spread out until they are within 2-3 feet.

    They no longer do this and the coaches seed the teams in the district. So it could be used as an argument, but no point based system.

    I agree. West Lyon wins it. I watched all four games on Saturday and I think that Van Meter, West Sioux and West Lyon would also win 2A this year. 1A overall is stronger than 2A this year.

    The system is not perfect but every team that made it deserves to be in. They qualified on the criteria placed in front of all teams. Are there teams who "should" be in? Of course we can debate that, but the only answer to fix that is to allow more in. My team is not in and you dont see me...
