Who knew gator's girlfriend lives in Maine??

Seriously, who ARE these morons? They really think that they alone in all their 'wisdom & glory' have the power to determine a former POTUS committed an insurrection and is not qualified? Even the Senate didn't declare this... and she is somehow above 50 Senators? The gall is simply overwhelming that this simpleton actually believes she has this kind of power...

or better yet, this chubette knows this is just a political stunt to get her some name recognition on her next run for some higher office in ME.

iu

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, whose office oversees elections in the state, announced the decision on Thursday, contending that an individual who has supported or engaged in insurrection is ineligible to serve in the highest office.

"I conclude that Mr. Trump's primary petition is invalid," Ms. Belows wrote in her ruling. "Specifically, I find that the declaration on his candidate consent form is false because he is not qualified to hold the office of the President under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment."

Ms. Bellows, who halted her decision pending an expected appeal in state court, held a public hearing on Dec. 15 after three challenges to President Trump's eligibility were submitted to her office.

President Trump's lawyers had sought to have her recused from the decision-making process, citing her public statements in favor of impeaching President Trump and describing the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach as an "insurrection."

Her decision to remove President Trump from the state's ballot comes after the Colorado Supreme Court's Dec. 19 ruling removing him from the Colorado state ballot, which the Colorado GOP has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Trump Campaign to Appeal 'Atrocious Decision'

The Trump campaign issued a statement denouncing the Maine secretary of state's "atrocious decision" and vowing to move quickly to fight it in state court to prevent it from taking effect.

"The Maine Secretary of State is a former ACLU attorney, a virulent leftist, and a hyper-partisan Biden-supporting Democrat who has decided to interfere in the presidential election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden," said Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung.

"We are witnessing, in real-time, the attempted theft of an election and the disenfranchisement of the American voter. Democrats in blue states are recklessly and un-Constitutionally suspending the civil rights of the American voters by attempting to summarily remove President Trump’s name from the ballot.

"Make no mistake, these partisan election interference efforts are a hostile assault on American democracy. Biden and the Democrats simply do not trust the American voter in a free and fair election and are now relying on the force of government institutions to protect their grip on power," he added.

Q&A with Woodbine athlete Landon Blum

How did the high school football season go overall?
“I would say my freshman year went pretty good, we have a very young team and one of our goals was to make it to the State Playoffs and we made that happen.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am playing basketball currently and we are hoping to have a pretty big year, I will also run and jump during track season and hope to do well in those, and I will play for ETG Midwest 3SSB in the summer for basketball.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like our team can make a big run at the State Playoffs next year, we have more kids coming up for these next couple of years and we are led by a great quarterback Brody Pryor.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Remsen St. Mary’s will definitely be the toughest team on our schedule. We faced them last year and kept it close for most the second quarter then we made some rookie mistakes and they pulled away. They were led by a lot of juniors this year so it should be a fun game next year.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I feel like one of the biggest individual players we will face off against is Remson’s QB. He ran for probably around 250 yards against us when we played them. He is very scrappy and can shed off a lot of tackles.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play D1 football or basketball. I don't know yet, it’s been a goal of mine for a long time.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Some schools who have been noticing me are Iowa State, Iowa, and Northwestern.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Nobody is recruiting me hard now because I’m a freshman but hopefully in these next few years they will all be coming in.”

“My plans now are to get in the weight room and build more muscle and speed while also playing basketball.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel my team will exceed expectations again, but we will need work for it.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Cherokee will be one of the toughest teams we play against as their offense is hard to stop. Gehlen Catholic will also be a threat to us as well.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?

Q&A with Regina outside linebacker Tate Wallace

“I thought the football season went very well and we accomplished a lot of our team goals and now we are training every day for next season.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“My plans are to stay playing my four sports which are basketball, baseball, football and track and continue to get better at all of those sports.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like our football team will be very young next season but that will not change our season's impact and I do believe we will be one of the top teams in the state if we put in the work that is needed.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I believe the Wilton Beavers could be our hardest game next season because they do return about the whole starting lineup so I think that game will be our most challenging.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I believe that Drew Keith the QB from Wilton will be our toughest player to go against because of his speed he has at the QB position.”

Q&A with Jefferson running back Iishara Kalolero

How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season started out very good for our team, but we came up short of our goals. We made a lot of progress coming off a 0-9 season last year to 4-5, but that’s not good enough and we are motivated to keep building. Our team is already ‘standing on business’ as DK Metcalf is doing.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Strength: Off season lifting is already in swing and going well. Faster: prepping for track season right now. How do you get better at running… go out and run. Bigger: We have a strength and conditioning coach who I am working with on my nutrition and gaining muscle in the kitchen also. Recovery and body control: I am going to concentrate on getting better sleep, take more time post workouts for stretching and start taking yoga classes. I am sure LBs will roll their eyes at that, but they better not blink.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I know we have a very good chance of making it to the playoffs off next season. We are building something at Jefferson and everyone has bought into what our coaches are asking of us.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Next year we will be looking to make some major progress against the three teams that really shut us down. We lost our way in those games and we have to come together better as a team to push through adversity and put some points up against them.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I don’t follow peoples’ names on other teams. They are just people with numbers playing a position when I watch a film. IC West has some players I figure.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Without a doubt I want to play football in college. I am going to make it on a team, just have to work on finding where.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I am currently working on getting my info out to college recruiters. I am a little behind on this but am working hard on catching up.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Can’t really answer that…yet.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any trips yet.”

Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“Plans are to start doing this after the new year.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Being so close to Iowa City, I suppose it is the Hawkeyes.”
