President Joe Biden shared a story Friday of conversations he had with his father and uncle when he was elected vice president, although both were dead at the time he claimed he had the exchanges.

What a historic display of buffoonery

Q&A with Iowa City West linebacker Santana Miller

How did the high school football season go overall?
“I felt like I did well this season, I helped our team out a lot on the defensive side this year but it is not just about me. I was trying to win a championship this year but things didn’t go as planned. But I can promise you will see us in the playoffs next year with the work I am about to put in.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I just had to get surgery so I haven’t been able to do much right now but when I am done healing all I will be doing is staying in the gym and on the field. This next season is personal for me because they took away my sophomore year due to me transferring schools. So for that, this off season all it will be is work. I have no off days anymore, I have made a decision I want to do this for the rest of my life so I will work for what I want and I promise you no one will be out-working me this off season.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I am very confident we will do well next year not only because of the talent on the team but because of the mindset me and the other leaders have that are leading this team. This will not be the same undisciplined team y’all have seen for the past two seasons.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I am not worried about any team that we face next year, they should be worried about us. Like I said, this will not be the same team y’all have seen.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“We are not worried about that so much right now because winners focus on what they need to get better at vs what their opponent is doing. We don’t care who y’all put us out against, we will be 100% on every play.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes I do plan on taking this sport to the next level because I believe I am physical enough and mentally ready enough to play college football.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Right now the colleges looking at me are NDSU, Waldorf, Iowa and Iowa State has been asking about me recently. I am grateful for that but that will be different by next year [as] I have big plans for myself after high school.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Definitely NDSU, I talk to their running back coach Joe a lot and I really appreciate him at least looking at me as a player because a lot of people doubt me because of my size at the position I play. Him texting me really gave me hope to keep going with this game so I couldn’t be more grateful to even be looked at by them.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes I have been on a visit to Iowa two times and I have been to Waldorf.”

Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“NDSU trip soon hopefully.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I have always been a fan of the Gators growing up so that is definitely my dream place to be at or Oregon.”

Q&A with Ankeny Centennial defensive back Connor Welsch

How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season went okay, we thought we had a good chance to make a run in the playoffs, but it didn’t end how we thought.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am in basketball right now and looking forward to track.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We will return a lot of players on offense which will help us to have a good season.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“We don’t have our schedule for next [year] but a lot of the competition teams we play will be tough.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Not sure, depends on our schedule.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would like to play a sport in college, right now would like to play football.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Right now there aren’t any colleges recruiting me.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“No colleges have been recruiting me.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not.”

Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“No trips planned right now but hoping to visit some in the off-season.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up has always been Iowa State.”

Q&A with Bettendorf athlete Sam Beecher

How did the high school football season go overall?
“This season our team got off to a slow start but we played our best towards the end of the season and finished 3-6. I played well and finished the season with 62 tackles (32 solo, 2.5 TFL). I was prepared to step into the starting role and played well throughout the season.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Our team is starting our offseason lifting schedule and I will start to work on track in the coming months. I’m working to get stronger and faster for next season.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like next year our team will be solid with many returning starters on both sides of the ball. There were 5 sophomores playing this season. We have a strong coaching staff and many supporters behind us.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I’m not sure, as far as I know we haven’t gotten our 2023 schedule.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I’m not sure, as far as I know we haven’t gotten our 2023 schedule.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have talked to coaches who visited our school from Iowa, South Dakota State, and St. Ambrose. I have received multiple emails from UW Platteville, Murray State, McKendree, Central Missouri, Simpson and William Jewel.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I have received the most contact from UW Platteville so far. They’re really proud of their program and seem to be doing good things there.”

Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“Not right now, but camps that I’m interested in are Iowa, Nebraska, and St. Ambrose.”

Q&A with Spirit Lake linebacker Owen Lalumendre

How did the high school football season go overall?
“I think this season went great, I really enjoyed my first year playing linebacker and thought we played really well as a team. I think it was very unfortunate that we weren’t able to make it to the dome due to us having lots of injuries. But I think this season was a lot of fun guided by great senior leadership.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“As of now I am playing basketball and will run track in the spring. I am lifting in the mornings in the high school weight room and lifting after basketball practices at night.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I think our team will do great next season. We are losing a lot of seniors this year but I think it will be good for some upcoming sophomores to step up next year and really bring big pieces to the team.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Next season’s schedule hasn’t come out yet, but I’m sure we will be playing in a great district again. I think Spencer is always a great matchup for us. They run a triple option offense that really challenges our defense and I think that is really fun. They are always a very solid team.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I don’t think we ever really focus on stopping one player specifically, we always try to play together and stop the team as a whole. I will say there were some good sophomores we played against this year that will come back next year as juniors and probably be even better.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to play college football. It is definitely one of my goals and aspirations.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?

How do you feel your team will do next football season?

Whataboutism....thine name is Gator...

It's raining in Waxhaw, NC right now. Gator: Trump’s fault. Me: We need the rain and it's late so it's great! Gator: Oh. Then Biden did it. Me: Uh...it's the weather. Nobody controls it. Gator: Nuh uh. If it's good, Biden did it. If it's baaaad, Trump did it. Me: Why are you always talking about Trump? Gator: I like sniffing kids and Trump is bad. Me: Trump sucks. Not sure why you are talking about him. Gator: You're a cultist!! Hahaha

5A East vs West question

It seems the average size of a coaching staff of the some of the DM suburban schools are much larger than in eastern Iowa. An eastern Iowa 5A program will typically consist of 6-8 varsity, 4 soph, and 4 freshman coaches. My guess is the average staff would be around 10 contracts: ex. 4 contracts on varsity, 3 on soph, and 3 freshman. What is typical for in the CIML? Watching some of the teams on the West and North side of Des Moines, it seems they have 18 coaches on the varsity sideline. Obviously, winning attracts people and you will get a better pool of volunteers. Maybe my perception is really off.

Potatoe's admin is exactly what the libs claimed Trump and his admin were while in office.

Is this not what an authoritarian government would do to silence dissent? Using governmental agencies to target opposition to the current admin. - Trump didn't do that but Gator's boys barry and the potato do it all the time and the MSM is lockstep with them - circa 1930s Germany.
