Woodbury Central switching baseballs

I assume you are from or around the Remsen St. Mary's area? I've heard this one other time and it was from an RSM parent. They claimed the CF would always hand the ball to the pitcher... it would take a lot more than that to actually have a "dead" ball in the pitchers hand at all times considering average life expectancy of a baseball is 5 pitches. The umpires would have to be in on it too.

May have happened, may not have happened, but in general it would have been the same for both teams if that specific ball was making it's way back into the umpires bag consistently.
