What Percentage of College Football Players Go Pro?

Yeah, that must be the same analysis the NCAA posted: https://www.ncaa.org/sports/2015/2/27/football-probability-of-competing-beyond-high-school.aspx

This uses the full NCAA participation, and only accounts for drafted. So there are plusses and minuses in that calculus. Most pro players come out of DI BCS, some from FCS and a smaller handfull from DII and III historically. Also to consider is that not everyone who is drafter ends up playing and some undrafted do. Add to that what you consider "Going pro?" Signing a contract? if so for how long?

The stats may be a little different if you changed the analysis that way . The NCAA provided some more detail in the bullet points of their post:

"We estimate that 3.8% of draft-eligible Division I players were chosen in the 2019 NFL draft (249 / 6,490). Splitting this calculation into subdivision, 6.8% of FBS players were estimated to be drafted (238 / 3,491), as compared to 0.4% of FCS players (11 / 2,999). "

So, the shiniest prospect you can paint is somewhere in the 4% range.
