Team Strengths:

Depth, chemistry, and coachable players

Question Marks:

Size and rebounding

Overview:

After going 75-36 during the past five years at Chicago Christian, Ross Douma
comes back to Iowa and takes over as head coach of the Warriors. He will
have a team with a bright future but will have to lead them through a tough
transition into the CIML Conference. But with the success that Waukee
showed on the football field this year, things are looking up for the team.
Leading the charge for the players coming back is Greg Pingel. This
6-foot-1 senior was second on the team in scoring at twelve points per game and
did a nice job of finding different ways to put the ball in the basket.
Also don't forget about their other returning starters, Jeff Getting. This
athletic junior averaged nine points and three assists per game as a sophomore.
Now that Getting is a year older, he could be ready for a big season. The
Warriors also boast a lot of younger talent. Because their school
continues to grow, these younger athletes will continue to flood the school.
If these athletes can step in and get past their inexperience, Waukee could
prove to be a tough team to beat in the CIML.
