Team Strengths:
Coachable, hark working, and athleticism
Question Marks:
Young players stepping up
Overview:
Battle Creek-Ida Grove had an outstanding run last season that saw them make it
to the State tournament. And with such a loaded field in Class 2A, the
Falcons didn't play well and got knocked off in the first round.
Considering the teams that they beat to get there, it was a tough one and done
to handle. This version of the team will be much different. Casey
Harriman is now playing basketball at Creighton and seven other seniors
graduated. Jon Nelson takes over as head coach after leaving Tri-County.
Obviously with any coaching change, the team must quickly adapt to the new
system. With Eric Hanson back for another year, that helps things for the
team. This junior was the second leading scorer on the team and will have
to step up into being the man this year. How Hanson handles that will have
a huge impact on the success of the team.
