On another thread I saw that the Mason City job is open. Did their interim head coach not want the position or was he just not given a second year?

He was hired as the interim coach last year since they were looking for someone in July. I think what the rule is with hiring any certified position at a school is that the job has to be posted publicly (Teach Iowa) unless there are unforeseen circumstances like trying to find someone so late in the game, which Kamm was hired without a full process. Then they are given the interim title for a year and go through the full process the next year. I don't think he was fired or resigned I think he has to apply for the job again if he wants it.
