The Davenport Central Blue Devils has hired Ben Sacco as its newest head football coach succeeding Mark Roering who went 27-42 in seven years with the program.
Mark Roering stepped down as head football coach with the Davenport Central Blue Devils to accept the head baseball coaching position at West Des Moines Valley.
Sacco previously was an assistant coach for eight seasons with the Davenport Assumption Knights. This past season, the Knights dropped from Class 4A to Class 3A.
The Davenport Assumption Knights and the Davenport Central Blue Devils share the same field for home games. The home field is called Brady Street Stadium which is located in Davenport, Iowa.
The Blue Devils play in Class 4A.
